Teeth whitening is a quick, easy and pain-free way of removing this yellow staining, leaving you with a beautiful white smile that can last for up to 10 years.
Teeth whitening is a very popular treatment and our dentists provide two of the most popular teeth whitening methods available.
Optident White Dental Beauty is a home teeth whitening system that can whiten your teeth in as little as 30 minutes a day. Available in a range of strengths to suit your requirements, Optident White Dental Beauty is fast becoming the teeth whitening system of choice.
Enlighten involves a combination of home and in-surgery whitening. Custom made trays are worn at home over night to whiten your teeth for a period of 14 days. You will then return to the practice for a one hour bleaching session at the surgery.
Is teeth whitening painful?
Teeth whitening isn’t a painful treatment, but some patients experience minor sensitivity in the 24 hours after treatment.
Will teeth whitening harm my teeth?
Teeth whitening is perfectly safe. It is a non-invasive treatment that cosmetically whitens the surface of your teeth. Studies have shown that the enamel and structure of your teeth remains unaffected.
How many shades whiter will my teeth be?
We can acheive up to 10 shades difference with our ‘Optident’ and ‘Enlighten’ options.
How long will teeth whitening last?
This depends on the foods you consume, your oral hygiene routine and whether you maintain your whitening. Some patients can expect whiter teeth for up to 10 years.
Which teeth whitening option is best for me?
We will advise you of the most appropriate whitening method during an initial appointment.
Is your teeth whitening better than home whitening kits or toothpastes?
Teeth whitening can only be achieved thanks to the active ingredient present. Whitening toothpastes and home whitening kits can only contain a limited amount of the active whitening ingredient by law, which is insufficient to provide any noticable whitening effect.
What are the costs?
A full list of our services and pricing is published here. Many patients join Denplan to help spread the costs of their dental treatments.
